Happy 2008!

Happy New Year! Yesterday our family went over to Trella's and spent the afternoon and early evening with them. It was good to see them and catch up. I caught her up a bit on blogland. The kids had fun playing the Wii.

Today Josh and I took down the Christmas decorations. However, this year we did it RIGHT. I went to Walmart and bought some red storage containers. We sorted through all of our Christmas stuff and weeded out what we wanted and what we didn't. Everything is now stored in the nice red bins for Christmas next year. I even straightened out all the wrapping supplies! I commented on how nice it was going to be decorating for Christmas next year!

Ben and Matt both have a friend over for the night, so there is a little extra activity here tonight. Everybody gets along great, so it really works out great. With the rest of the week, we want to get a few projects done plus see 2 movies. We NEVER go see movies, but we both want to see National Treasure and Waterhorse. Maybe we can get one in tomorrow.

I hope everybody had a great start to 2008 today!!

Ruth,

I read on Jennifer’s post that you said you were going to take dance lessons once you reach your weight goal...I think that is wonderful. That is something I have always wanted to do and I can’t wait to hear all about it.

I pray all of your goals are reached and you and your precious family are blessed from head to toe in 2008.

Blessings to you my friend.

Lyndy

PS Thanks for sending Myrna my way.

It always feels so good to be organized. We put up our decorations yesterday, too. The house looks so fresh and wonderful back in shape.

Have a wonderful, blessed New Year Ruth.

Hey Ruth! I'm so glad that Trella and her family are doing well. I've missed her in blogland.
We organized our ornaments last year, and this year it was MUCH easier to decorate! I don't know why we didn't think of it sooner. This year, I plan to clean them all before packing them away as I noticed some of them were dusty in the pictures I took. ;0) I have a few silver and brass ones that need some attention, too. I'm usually the one in charge of UNdecorating the tree, and I prefer it that way, so I can go at my own pace. Gordon then removes it from the house for me, and we put it on the compost pile.
We don't go to movies much, either, but since December was so hectic for us, we saved most of our Christmas movies for the first of the year. We plan to watch them over the next week.
Enjoy your New Year!
Blessings,
Karen

I'm working on the Christmas decorations today. I am later than usual, but it will get done! I also bought additional storage bins this year. My decorations were already fairly well organized, but I'm trying to make it even easier for next year!

Praying for a great 2008 for everyone!

Happy New Year!

Please tell Trella Hi when you get a chance. I miss her.

Isn't it a great feeling to get many projects done. We got lots of organization and little projects done over the holiday.

You WILL lose those 50 pounds!

I love dancing. I've been thinking about taking some dance lessons as well, maybe swing dancing.

.... psssss... the book I'm reading is called "Never Say Diet" but Chantel Hobbs. She lost over 200 lbs the 'old fashion' way. I love how she addresses so many aspects of health and losing weight, psychological, physical, and spiritual. She always brings it back to being the best that we can be for our Lord.

I'll be your cheerleader for your journey to a healthier you :o)

Go RUTH Go! :o)

Happy New Year Ruth!

There is NOTHING like big plastic tubs! When it comes to Chrisatmas, I'm the Plastic Tub Queen.

However, with my move coming up, I am currently the reigning "Liquor Box Queen." :-)

Here's to 2008!

You are BUSY! The red bin thing sounds great. On New Year's Day, we cleaned out our game/coat closet and also got together items for Good Will. Our 16 year old even cleaned out his room. We are probably going to paint his room tomorrow. It feels good to get more organized! :)
