Lookin for a few good...

FISH RECIPIES!!

I know that many of you are experts in the kitchen. I am lacking in good fish recipies. My family loves fish, but I never cook any. If you have any you'd like to share, I'd be most obliged. The simpler and quicker the better, but even a yummy, more complicated recipe would be ok, too. You can post it in the comments, e-mail me (joshruthburton@bellsouth.net), or send me a link if you already have some posted as I know many of you blog recipies.
Thanks for your help!

I also love fish, but I don't think I have any good recipes for you. If I do find one I will email you.

We like Tilapia and we just cook it in Italian salad dressing for about 20 min at 350. Also, Just Mom has a fish marinade recipe on her cooking blog (can find link on her regular blog) - I haven't tried it yet, but I have it stored for a future use.

I need to do more fish, actually, I need to "do fish". I love it fresh caught. My sister's in-laws have a small place at the Jersey shore and there's nothing like fresh caught Flounder. My brother-in-law grills it in foil with some butter, sliced peppers and onions. Yum!

Hi Ruth,
I don't fix fish that often, but when I do, my family likes it cooked on 350 with butter and lemon pepper seasoning. I cook it about 20-25 minutes also, just until it flakes with a fork.

We buy frozen salmon alot...

I bought this Citrus seasoning from Sams Club and I sprinkle it on the salmon and bake at 350. It is really good, even the kids love it. If you can't find the seasoning, you could just use pepper, salt, and garlic powder-it is very basic but good!

That's the marinade Momma Roar was referring to. It's very simple and in my experience has made fish tender rather than dry.

I have the same problem, but the one recipe I use that seems to be a winner in my house is:

chopped garlic
lemon juice (fresh tastes better)
sea salt & pepper
a little of dried chives, parsley, paprika and a touch of tarragon.

I don't really measure anything, just throw it on.
Then broil each side for about 10-15 minutes, depending on how thick the fish is. HTH!

God Bless,
Amber
